The Simpsons - Still Funny?

I don't know about everyone else, but I've never ... and I mean NEVER EVER watched the Simpsons on TV as a habit. If you don't know, the Simpson is an animated TV show that has been around for more than a DECADE - Yes I said a decade! Yes, after such an extended period of time on Television I've watched an episode or two, but I never really got into the Simpsons craze.

After all the hype about the Simpsons movie and to be honest the previews caught my attention because nearly every scene was humorous if not funny. So yes, I was curious about if it would be another disappointing TV to Big Screen adaptation such as, let's say the Dukes of Hazard or Casper the Friendly Ghost. Remember I wasn't a big fan of the Simpsons to begin with, and for me to pony-up cash for a show that I really expected to bomb big time is totally out of my character. Normally I wait and read the reviews or talk to some people who've gone to see it, but for someone inexplicable reason - I went ahead and saw the Simpsons movie!

Let me tell you something, if you haven't gone to see the Simpsons Movie - GO! Its crude, it's funny and I mean it is really funny! Homer with that pig and all the crazy stuff he did with that thing just had me holding my gut - This show was really, really funny!

If you like the Simpsons on TV then you should love the Simpons Movie. I was never a fan and I still loved the Simpsons Movie and all the people that were in the theater with me were rolling and laughing the same as I. But be forewarned, there should be a big Caution sign placed on the Simpsons entry door.

Folks there is foul language, there is religious "none politically correct" stuff said in this movie... In a word it is "crude". Remember, I count myself as an adult - I don't count my 6 year old daughter as an adult and having seen the Simpsons, Bart in particular, on TV I didn't take my daughter to see the Simpsons Movie and I'm glad I didn't!
