As many of you may well know, a crisis has been facing this great nation's youth for the past fifteen years and it has gradually become worse. The problem I speak of is the ever growing number of obese and morbidly
obese children in the United States. You may ask yourself, "who is to blame?" well the finger cannot be decisively pointed to one person or group in particular, but towards a culmination of factoring lesions to the American society. A large contributor to the these problem has been the corporate giants who own companies ranging from fast food restaurants to the almost comatose inducing sugar-laden cereal producers. The other factor that contributes greatly to the demise and decline of our nation's ever failing youth is the simple ignorance of portion control and relative nutrition.
The fast food czars who have a strangle-hold upon the throats of our youth, in recent years, have made feeble attempts at improving their menus so that they are more nutritionally appealing. Though as we all know these quality of life rapists still have the main goal of selling their fat laden products for maximum profit. To do so they all aim for a customer who will be loyal throughout their lives, hence the aim of marketing to children through "kid's meals". Once children mature and reach their teen years then adulthood, the majority as seen in modern society, are obese fast food addicts. Continually returning to the main source of food they have been conditioned to know and love. The other corporate food pushers are the well known cereal giants.
