Poker is one of the oldest card games yet. But has this lovely game gotten a fresh new face? Online Poker is undoubtedly one of the top played card games of my time, watch out Computer Solitaire. Several years back, back when Party Poker was still letting Americans play on their site, my husband would play Online Poker as a means of kicking back and having a few hours of fun each night. It was a fun little interactive game, which if for nothing else, sometimes paid out enough for a hamburger or something.

When he was in High School he learned the game. He went on to read books about Poker. He would watch the Pros via The World Poker Tour - every year. He learned Poker, I mean really learned the game, by first throwing away a lot of money, literally. But, that was back when he was single, living at home, and could do that sort of thing. Even after we got together he would still play random Poker, but it was never with the intent to eat off of, let alone furnish a home or pay rent with.

Times changed in 2006 though. Last summer, Jeremy would stay up all night long playing tournaments and table games via Party Poker. Mostly, his buy-ins would be around $5 - $20's. He would lose his fair share. Oftentimes, it would be more than his fair share. But, when he would win, it more than made up for the losses. First through third place would pay out and from that the payouts ranged anywhere from $9 to $100. It would depend on the details. But, even with having a rough estimate, the prediction of our income became commonplace.

By the middle of summer, plans were set in place for Jeremy to make playing Poker a part of his daily "work" routine, bringing in a few hundred dollars each time he would play. We were beginning to look at Online Poker as a means of income, rather than that of extra doughnut money. The plan was set to go off without a hitch. That is, until The United States of America decided to impose an Online Gambling Law.

Playing Online Poker is simple. You just have to understand that the game is not just about luck. You have to know how to play your opponents, how to play your cards, and then play by luck.

When you said -"I mention this part because it is only when you understand these three keys to the game, that you can then can fully reap the rewards offered by such an elaborate card game that is thought to be based so much on luck as that of Poker", I became intrigued in an embellishment... can you elaborate? One day I was contemplating my next job venture with my friend after quitting my previous job due to a misjustice... not the point, but I was tipped off by this friend that people made a living off of online poker... I was like "no effing way"- he said "it might not be for you, but it's worth looking into right?" here i am looking into it. If you could help me in some way get started in this, I would greatly appreciate you and not spread the word of it.
