Burger King offer seniors reduced prices on coffee and soda. At our local one coffee and soda are just 69 cents for 55 and older. When we go to Kissimmee/Orlando the coffee is 49 cents and the soda 39 cents.

Note: If you check on the back of your receipt anyone can get a free Whopper or Chicken sandwich by doing a 5 minute survey.

McDonalds also offers discounted drinks. As I prefer Burger King's coffee I only drink coffee when I am on the road. In Kissimmee coffee and soda run 59 cents.

Long John Silvers restaurant has coupons for seniors. The one I used today was 1 piece of fish or chicken, 2 hush puppies, fries, and a drink for $1.99.

Wendy's restaurants offer a 10% discount for seniors.

Golden Corral is a winner in our area. For just $5.49 a senior of 60 or older can purchase the buffet lunch and a drink from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. In Kissimmee they had a similar offer but I think it was 50 cents more. They also provide free coffee with your dessert for any age.

Discounts for everyone.

It you purchase the Entertainment book, either through a school, charity, or their website, you get to buy one meal and get one free in hundreds of restaurants in your area. On multiple listings, check the back of the coupon to make sure that they are your local ones. I have found several to be 20 miles from where I live.

I love the restaurants.com website. This week I bought a $25 gift certificate for a really nice local restaurant. The price should have been $10 for it but they had a promotion of 70% off, so the gift certificate cost me just $3. There is a stipulation that we have to buy $35 of food to use the certificate but that is just fine with me. The gift certificate is valid for one year.

Don't forget to check the Sunday newspaper inserts for restaurant coupons. Also we have coupon books in restaurants, gas stations, and various stores offering discounted meals at restaurants. Lastly some of the chain restaurants will mail out to you an array of special offers or "so much off 2 dinners".

So don't be paying top dollars for your meals when you can eat really well and save money too.

Nice job and thanks for letting me know you are here. I got a senior discount - where was I? Oh going on a whale watch. It was 55 and over.

It must be great to get all these discounts. There do not seem to be too many incentives out there for younger people, though! Sophie
