Living in the year 2007 has been quite a challenge for many. Famines, wars, pestilence, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and crimes have increased. Causing some to be homeless, jobless, and even death.

In the little town I live in I used to be able to go to bed and even leave my doors unlocked, not have to worry about anything. Oh how things have changed. Just the other night the little store close to my home was broken into. I live in the country and I know it has to be worse in the more populated areas. We have had items stolen right out of our yard. Now those are just a few items think about those who have lost everything they owned.

Some people are struggling just to survive. Others have been displaced and are trying to start all over again. I know of some who just feel helpless and don't know where to turn or what to do.

With the food, shelter and gas prices rising, how can one manage to survive? First we must consider our needs not our wants. We must have food and shelter. If we are going to have a job we will probably need to have some way to get there which means some sort of transportation unless we have our own business or work on the computer from home. If we own our own cars we must be able to afford gas to get back and forth to work.

Families are going to have to work together. They can be of great support to one another. When someone has lost everything they own support from other family members can go far. Helping others to achieve what they might not be able to on their own. I believe that in the days we are living in we must stick together and help each other out. Give and it shall be given. It's true and it really works!

Every family should have a disaster plan in order. So when and if the time arrives and they have to flee the area they are living they will have a destination and not be stuck out in the middle of no where with no idea what they are going to do next. With a disaster plan in order you have a head start on any emergency that may arise.
