The Red Robin restaurant in Yuba City, California, is popular and thriving. It is located at 1208 Colusa Avenue, Yuba City, California, 95991. The telephone number is (530) 751-1010. The atmosphere is lively and inviting and the food is tasty.

My husband had I chose to have dinner here recently. As soon as we arrived we were taken to a booth table and told out waitress would be with us shortly. The surroundings were pleasant. We saw old film release posters on the walls and some interesting paintings. In the background there was a bar that was already busy by the time we got there at 5:00pm.

Our waitress arrived a few minutes later with our menu and two glasses of water. She introduced herself and then left us for a few minutes to decide what to eat. I ordered the vegetarian rice bowl, which cost $9.49, and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which was $8.99. His order came with a bottomless order of chips (fries).

Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. My rice bowl was presented in a pretty silver dish and a triangular plate underneath that. The portion was quite substantial. It consisted of a generous helping of baby carrots, fried noodles, mange tout (snow peas) courgette (zucchini) broccoli, strips of red pepper and rice. The top was drizzled with a sweet Oriental-style sauce and sesame seeds.

My husband enjoyed his burger. His chips were freshly cooked and thick-cut. When they had been eaten, he was able to get a top up, which was an added bonus of his order. They were made fresh to order, so they were still steaming hot when they were brought out.

I was unable to eat my entire rice bowl and my husband also had about half of his meal left, so we asked for take away containers. We were feeling quite full and did not want to over indulge.

Our waitress was attentive and re-filled our drinks and took care of my husband's re-fill of chips. But soon after we ordered, Red Robin became very busy as more customers arrived for dinner. So she was unable to get to us quickly, which was understandable. But she maintained a positive and friendly attitude throughout our dining experience and seemed happy to take care of us.

Takeaways

I ate at the Red Robin in Eugene, OR when I went to University. It was quite good, and I also enjoyed the veggie bowl. They also offered really excellent veggie burgers. Great review.

If anyone lives close enough, Yuba City is about an hour away from Sacramento. Sophie

Sounds like a really great place. The atmosphere itself sounds great. Would check it out, if I was ever in CA

Thanks for all the comments. People usually say California is expensive, but I think most things are reasonable. Sophie

Very good review. I just have one question, why is food so much cheaper everywhere I don't live?
