Interview with a Religious Voice Over Artist

What's your name? Amy Lynn, though that's not my real name, it's my stage name. My first name is really Amy and my middle name is Lynn.

How long have you been a voice over artist? I've been one for about 8 years now.

What is one of the many the important qualities for a business owner working online? You have to be a good listener and you simply can't assume anything, if you do, you could end up doing the whole order wrong. It's been a great training process in not assuming, and a practice that has shown through in my other activities and everyday life. You need to ask an in a polite manor if you have any concerns or questions about any order received. You must treat each person that crosses your path with respect, even if they are only asking a question, every person that crosses your path is a potential client or connected to someone who is. If you need to correct a client's script or any other aspects of their order, you need to do it in a professional manor. I had no idea it is hard or impossible for some business owners to do, because they put their personal issues of wanting others to accept their crass shell, instead of being a professional. You must put your personal issues a side in the business world.

Do you like what you do? No, I love it. lol. It comforts me to have a job that I will never be put out of. I like that it travels with me wherever I go, because I'm not a person to stay in one place too long. I like the fact I can spread the word of God in what I do, and I feel that's the purpose of my work. I'm hoping it's something I can do for the rest of my life which is why my domain was purchased for 10 years. It wasn't easy adapting to the new environment, I learned a lot getting to where I am now, and still have loads more to learn.
