How to Make Unique Balloon Decorations for Any Party

One thing that looks great at any party is balloon decorations. But the one thing that you should keep in mind is that the more creative your arrangements the nicer it will look. There are many different styles that you can attempt to make with your balloon decorations. This first one that is a very big favorite at many parties is the hot air balloon design. It is very simple to design that you can make yourself.

The first thing you need to do in order to start creating your hot air balloon design is to get one giant helium filled balloon, (it can have any design that is appropriate for your party, for example if it is a baby shower you would want one giant balloon that says it's a boy or girl, ect.). The next thing that you will need is at least 150 feet of decorative ribbon, and a rectangular wicker basket. Or if you prefer you can use a round basket. Once you have gathered all of your materials you can then begin to construct your hot air balloon design. 

First you will need to lay out your ribbon on a nice smooth surface. The floor might be the best place to construct this. Then you will want to create a fish net pattern with the ribbon. Make sure that you make it big enough to cover the top part of your balloon. You will want your fish net to be in the shape of a giant square with four corners. When you get to the corners you will want to tie knots in the ribbon to hold your pattern, and let the rest of the ribbon hang. Next you can pick up the ribbon and lay it on top of your giant balloon. Then you can take the four corners with the hanging ribbon and tie it to your basket. To add a little more decoration to your balloon you could line the basket with some cloth in a color that matches your balloon or you can add bows to the four corners of the balloon. A lot of people choose to use the basket to hold party favors or cards.
