Allow your child freedom.

Children need rules, but they also need to be allowed to be free and express themselves.
Let them play alone in their rooms. Let them play without your interrruptions.
Check on them without disturbing their play.

Give them crafts and other tools to express themselves.
Let them have an imagination. Do not interrupt their play and suggest they do something else.
Children need to be free to express themselves without interrruption.

By holding back their freedom and creativity, this may hinder their life path.

Allow your children to be free.

Thanks Charlotte. I highly believe in letting children be free to think and do for themselves as far as play goes, as well as many other aspects of life. I feel like as long as they are safe, they should be allowed to "let loose" and be free.

More parents should follow this advice!

Thanks Shannon. I agree. That's part of why I love AC. Aside from the writing, it's a great place to meet other people with equal interests. :)

It's so great to know there are other parents out there that share the same views! Thanks for the tips!

I agree DR. And me, too. It's also where I developed imagination, the ability to draw, and many more things. Being allowed to play freely with my dolls honed in on some of my natural parenting skills. There are so many more things I could list. I am so glad my mother let me experience this type of freedom. Now I can pass it on to my own children. :-)

This is so critical. It was during my free time as a child that I developed a love for writing :)
