Everyone likes a good laugh and a good party. So it only seems like a perfect match then to create and come up with humorous bridal shower invitation wording. We don't really want to take a dig at the bride or groom... but then we might, just to help calm our nerves.

First we must say that any bridal shower invitation wording must include the vitals such as the: who, what, when, where, and why. Make sure that the RSVP number and name of person taking the calls is clearly written. This way after the person who is invited gets a good laugh they can see through their tears of laughter who to call and when to put it on the calendar.

I am highly fond of pretty cards and finding the unexpected. I live by the adage "Don't judge a book by its cover" like wise I advise don't judge the bridal shower invitation by the frilly corners. If you are creating the cards at home, and you have found the perfect picture to put on the invitation of the beautiful bride, with her bouquet and now you need the bridal shower invitation wording, and here is a suggestion:

"Cupid's work is nearly done,

Soon Kim and Jason will be 'One',

But before that Golden Hour,

We're honoring Kim with a Bridal Shower!"

Well, maybe that bridal shower invitation wording doesn't work for you. The invitation could always be written from the bride's perspective, so to speak. I recommend finding stationary or invitation cards that have a beautiful bride shyly hiding behind an umbrella. Making the bride out to be sweet and innocent, and then include a verse of poetry such as found below:

"Joe and I are tying the knot -

And this bridal shower is gonna be hot!

Gifts sure to make it one heck of a night,

and certain to make Joe squeal with delight!"

The goal of these verses for your bridal shower invitation wording is really just to make people laugh. Plus, it is a nice keepsake for the bride to include in her box, or book of memories over hopefully one of the most joyous occasions she will ever have.

The bridal shower could be a really nice ice breaker for the two families, the females in each family anyway, to get to know each other and have a few laughs.
