"Damages 'FX has another hit on its hands with its premiere of "Damages" starting Glenn Close and Ted Danson. Glenn Close plays Patty Hewes an Attorney hired to fight Author Frobisher played by Ted Danson. Mr. Forbisher is a big business owner, who is trying to stay out of court by manipulating and stopping the one person who can put him there,
Katie Connor.
Ellen Parsons was hired by Patty to work as her associate. At first you are as clueless as she is as to exactly why she was hired. But the farther you get into watching the show you become as engrossed in every scene wonder what will happen next. It is reveled that she was hired to deliver the key witness that Patty Hewes needs to win her case.
As the show is exposed the more you begin to unravel what is happening, but only after the show is over and you are thinking about what you just saw do you begin to start putting pieces together. Because there is no way you can forget this show when the credits roll.
Katie is a key witness and is brought in to see Patty when she needs protection because Mr. Forbisher is harassing her. He is the backer of her new business he says because he likes her cooking but it is really an attempt to keep her quiet
No matter how involved you find yourself you often wonder which side has the good guys and which side has bad guys. Just when you think you begin to understand what Patty is thinking she turns the tables and leaves you wondering what she has up her sleeve and where she will lead you next.
For those who do not know who our lead actors are Glenn Close was the no nonsense Capt. in the action packed police Drama "The Shield" which also stared "Michael Chikills". This also aired on FX..
Ted Danson played "Sam Malone" a broken down base ball player turn bar owner on the show "cheers".
Both of these actors are definitely the ones to watch to see what they to next. They will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat watching at night and over the water cooler at work.
To conclude Glenn Close is masterful at her new role and will keep you guessing to the very end. Definitely a show to watch!
