The Windows operating system is a common one. Many people and companies use it, and in the present, Windows is the most supported operating system when it comes to software. More people use Windows than Mac, simply because the software is cheaper and more is supported by it. With that said, many of the PC users out there desire to own a Mac.

Some users desire a Mac because of the interesting software, the cool white color, the spiffy apple logo, or because of some functionality they possess. However, most of the people who want a Mac desire it first and foremost because of the operating system. OS X is a neat looking clean desktop, visually appealing and easy to use. With its ever changing looks, users never tire of it, unlike the users of Windows.

For those who cannot or will not switch to an iBook, there are programs designed that can make the Windows operating system appear more Mac-like. With the right tools, you can give your desktop a make-over that will fool anyone into believing you own an Apple computer.

Step 1: Download a Mac wallpaper. A nice one can be found here: http://hpmouse.googlepages.com/mac_wallpaper.jpg . Set it as your background wallpaper.

Step 2: Dowload a program called Object Dock. Object Dock is a free program that opens a bar across the destop that contains the desktop icons. You can download it here: http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ .

Step 3: Download a program called Windows Blinds. Windows Blinds made by the same company that makes the Object Dock. However, this one is not free. It is free for two months. After that, it costs $20 to purchase. You can download it here: http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ .

Wow! I never knew one could do things like that with their Windows program. I've never had a Mac... but I hear they are really nice. Great article!
