Starring Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead), Hot Fuzz is a little crazy at times but a delightful romp that can be enjoyed time, and time again.

It all starts off when the super-cop, Nicholas Angel (Pegg) is transferred out of the London Metropolitan Police Service to be a 'police officer' in the small, quiet village of Sandford. He gets teamed up with a bumbling moron of a partner, Daniel or Danny Butterman (Frost), and discovers how to loosen his tie - so to speak. The first part of Hot Fuzz is a speedy introduction into the past of Nicholas Angel. We learn that his superiors - actually the entire metropolitan team for that matter resent him and his endless crime-fighting abilities. There's a few one-liner jokes here and there that never quite work. The editing in the introduction scenes is perhaps a little too hectic to be thoroughly enjoyable.

One of the things I've noticed that make British comedies like this so delightfully funny is that they take unnecessary and awkward moments to throw off the audience. This has been played out particularly brilliant in the previous film by these jokers, Shaun of the Dead, and the romantic comedies, Love Actually and Notting Hill. But this crew seems to have lost the delivery strengths that made Shaun such an hilarious film from start to finish. I will say that there are enough - shall I say, cute jokes and edge-of-your-seat action in Hot Fuzz to keep the viewer glued to the screen and smiling throughout the entire movie.
