Our Wedding Reception at Magnolia Manor in Colfax, NC

This past April 14th, 2007, I married my best friend and the love of my life! It was a dream come true. We conducted our ceremony at our church and our reception was held at Magnolia Manor in Colfax, N.C. It was truly amazing and pictures hardly do it any justice. It was a day I had planned-out and dreamed about for many years...for as long as I can remember. And though I changed my mind about probably one-hundred things over the years, one thing remained true. I wanted my wedding day to be a day to remember. I wanted an unforgettable wedding and a magnificent reception, which we could reminisce about with friends and family for years to come. I wanted it all. After all, it was my day! If you feel at all similar to the way I felt, I'd like to suggest that you, too, give Magnolia Manor a try.

Located just off Market St., it's a quick drive from several surrounding cities. Magnolia Manor is a charming white, two-story building with both indoor and outdoor facilities. We didn't utilize the outdoor garden, but we did decide to have our reception in the Ashley Ballroom. We didn't get to spend a lot of time there, because we were only allowed to use it until midnight (our wedding was at 7:30). So things were kind of rushed for us, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. We had about 120 of our friends and family there to help us celebrate, a live DJ, food, and a dance floor!

After the wedding party was introduced, Brian (my husband) and I had our first dance as husband and wife. Immediately following was the traditional father/daughter dance, and then the mother/son dance. I remember walking in and thinking to myself, "all of the hard work has finally paid off and it is beautiful in here!" We've had several compliments from our guests, raving about how awesome our wedding and reception were.
