One thing that ticks me off more than anything while out shopping is a lack of service, or a lack of service, with an attitude throw on top, I should say.

It's not uncommon though, once in awhile everyone can say that they have been given an attitude while out shopping, or while out dining.

That's sort of what happened the first time I stopped into TJ's. I give the teen gal my order, and she sort of seems annoyed that I am there. Whatever though, not everyone smiles while working. I am guilty of this myself.

But just as I am about to forgive her for her lack of enthusiasm, she begins slicing my bread, glove free! This is exactly what had occurred on my very first trip to TJ'S Hero Shop.

So many of my friends and relatives recommended it, so I figured it's right down the road, it's open, I'm hungry, why not?

They have prime location that's for sure; located right across the street from the over crowded William Floyd High school. So this could be why, it's the closest spot for eats while kids have a lunch break.

They sell hero's from turkey, ham, tuna, chicken, specialty heros, and more.

They are also open in the wee morning hours, so this is a plus when you are looking for a quick breakfast bite.

Anyhow, I got pissed when I realized this girl was about to hand me off my sandwich after she had just prepared without wearing gloves. I asked for a new one, and stated why. I got a bit of an attitude, so I walked out. I shouldn't have to argue why I wanted a new one...she should of known really. I caught her doing a no-no.

My brother swears by their food, he eats here religiously, however I didn't get to try anything on my first trip.

So a month of so goes by, and I figure by now the owner's must have fired this girl, or odds are she quit, like most teens tend to do.

So I go in, the store looks up to par, and a lot nicer then the first time I had gone in. The tables although are minimal are all clean, but also all full, so I have to take out. I planned on doing so anyway.

I ordered a tuna sandwhich, and grabbed a bottle of coke from the little soda fridge located next to the counter.

G Zuss was joking. He's a friend of mine that also thoroughly enjoys TJ's heros in Patchogue. The black blazer was mine.

Justin, I agree, TJS Patchogue is probably the best one I have ever been to. Both shops as of now though seemed to of cleaned up a lot. Patchogue used to be sort of ehhh looking. But it looks good now, and their heros are always fresh.

I actually wentin a few days ago, and was surprised to see a nice change. They had gloves on, and the staff seemed new. Change is always good. :)

One would think so right? I was shocked! I had worked in a restaurant for 10 years, and we always were told to wear gloves. I wouldn't think NOT to. lol.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Surely there are health codes somewhere that mention this. yikes

I thought it was a law to wear them.. however I'm no person who knows much about legal laws and what not... so... I have no idea.. I just think they should be worn, illegal or not.
