Places to Study at Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech is a very academically difficult school and does require quite a bit of studying in order to receive a good GPA. College can often be a distracting place and many freshman get themselves off to a bad start by giving in to procrastination.
 However, whether pulling an all nighter or studying in advance everyone needs some place quiet to study. Some students prefer to study and eat, some prefer to have computer access, and some enjoy studying in a group environment. Below is a list of common places students go to study at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Library

When most people think of a quiet place to study the first place that comes to their minds is library. The library at Georgia Institute of Technology is a great place to study. There are seven floors in this enormous library. For those students that prefer a quiet private place to study try the upper floors. Not many people venture to these floors so your less likely to get disturbed. Also, each floor as a few comfortable chairs so you'll be comfortable no matter where you study. If you do not mind other people around you but still want some quiet then the third floor is for you. Most of the third floor is devoted to private studying and has plenty of cubicles and comfortable desk chairs. It also features a large glass wall of windows which is a pleasant distraction most of the time. For group studying students should try the second floor of the Georgia Tech library. Here students will find large tables that can seat anywhere from one to twenty or more students. It can become quite noisy on this floor so students should beware of the many possible distractions. For those who really prefer a quiet private place to study it is recommended that they rent a small office room from the library.
