Reality TV: My Life on the D-List Deserves the Emmy! Part 1

Reality TV. Way back when, I swore I would never watch it. The concept, at least I thought, was pretty dumb...and that it would never catch on.

But that might be me living in the bubble world.

Now, I've become one of the masses that has become addicted to reality television. Kathy Griffin is my pretend best friend. I laugh when Paula Abdul cries (yet again) at something. I jumped up and down when Amy won Next Food Network Star.

Yes ladies and gentleman, I've given in.

So below are my thoughts on the two reality TV shows I actually watch, and which I think belongs to leave the Emmy's with the statue in their finely-manicured hand.

For me, the answer is right off the D-List. Kathy Griffin, hands down, should receive an Emmy this year for her work.

This season has been an eclectic mixture of humor and sadness. We've gotten to see a side of Kathy which we really have never seen before.

With the passing of her wonderful father, a seemingly integral part to the show's overall success, Kathy had to confront her emotions, and in those moments, I believe her audience was feeling her sadness along with her. However, it's not just the sadness that brings home the Emmy.

It's Kathy being a real human being....and still on the D-List.
