I have eaten here a number of times. And yes I am a U2 fan. So yes this was one of the preeminent albums I listened to in my youth. And yes I said album, like record. On a record player. And I had it as a cassette tape. And I now have it on CD. Of course it is on my iPod. But who needs all that when you have got something like the shared information and constant streaming of the same albums we have been listening to for the last 20 years on numerous people's webpages, myspace pages and in retail stores all over the country? It's better than Beyoncé; in my humble opinion. But while researching this article for the Joshua Tree restaurant that is one of my favorites on the West side of Manhattan, I was reminded that there are a couple other Joshua Tree restaurants. Namely the one on the east side of Manhattan at 3rd Ave and of course the original Joshua Tree restaurant which is in Somerville, Massachusetts. Maybe I'll take my fiancée there for our honeymoon. (oops! Freudian Slip!)Joshua Tree restaurants have a number of sister restaurants both in Manhattan and in Massachusetts. Namely Mercury bar, which there are two of in Manhattan, nearby to both Joshua Tree locations; Tonic, which is on the West side of Manhattan and also in Massachusetts and the Boston Beer Garden and Playwright Bar and Café, both of which are in South Boston.
For this article in particular, I was reminded of all of the excellent lunch specials which Joshua Tree participates in. Whether you're talking about penne à la vodka, margarita pizza, vegetable wrap, Asian calamari salad, or whether you're looking for something a little more exotic the Greek chicken salad or eggplant Parmesan; Joshua Tree has got you covered.
However it is typical that we will go here for late-night dinner or around dinner time and we won't get the benefit of these great prices on the lunch specials (6.95!). However, there are plenty more selections on the ordinary menu and you can get many great food items from these menus that are generous, filling, and totally worth the money.
