VideoSync is by TMPG Inc. and Pegasys and is a great software tool and encoder for downloading video to your mobile device. The system is setup to make your job as easy as drag and drop to get videos from your PC to your mobile device such as the PSP, iPod or PDA.
The system works easily by using encoders that work automatically for you, simply find the video on your PC you want to put into your mobile device and drag it to the proper box that is the device. You don't have to worry about getting the video to the correct folder in the device such as the video folder on the PSP, the program knows exactly where to put it.
I tried this out on my PlayStation Portable and it took about the same time to download the video game trailer I was using as a test than it did to completely transfer it to the PSP. It is really as simple as drag the video from the download location and place it on the PSP button and the program finds the video type, encodes it for the PSP and downloads it to the video folder for you.
VideoSync also encodes and transfers DVD type movies and videos but you need to make sure the device your downloading to has enough storage space. You will get an error if it does not have enough space on your device such as smaller memory cards on a PSP. I was able to download a smaller DVD movie on the PSP easily and quickly after finding one that was not copy protected.
VideoSync will not transfer some movies due to copy protection being on the disc so if you think you'll be transferring all those movies from your DVD library to a mobile device think again. I ran into this on one of the first small DVD's I tried to transfer. VideoSync does a great job on home movies that you can easily transfer from the file on your computer to the PSP.
In order to use the drag and drop feature you need to turn it on using the drop down menus on the task bar at the top of the main page. A short wizard will run that sets all the components of the drag and drop features such as the destination and source folders and the quality of the video your transferring that video into.
