Fiesta Taco's prices aren't the lowest, but they make one of the lowest quality burritos I've encountered so far in San Francisco.

Fiesta is on Golden Gate, down toward that one block where a bunch of obnoxious drugheads like to congregate and make noise all day. Despite the skeevy location, the inside was very clean and fairly spacious. It seemed like a pretty good place to sit and eat. I don't know for certain about that though, because I got my pollo asado burrito to go, and thus began the first of my Fiesta misadventures.

I was already well away from Fiesta and three bites into my pollo burrito when I noticed that it was actually a carne burrito. I guess it might be an understandable mistake, except the guy who took my order definetly repeated "pollo asado" to me. Oh well. Rather than trudge all the way back over and wave my chewed burrito in their faces (all spewing rice everywhere) I decided to just soldier on in digesting the beef. It wouldn't have been so bad except it was really low quality beef, like that stuff you use for soup stock. Actually, I strongly suspect it was Steak-Ums. They also didn't give me a choice of beans - stuck with liquidy refried, instead of my preferred kidney or black.

I also got a horchata, which I assume by the orange color was supposed to be mango. Horchata is kind of an acquired taste and I never really much got into it, but for some reason the big bucket by the register looked more appealing to me than a soda that particular day. It didn't really taste like much of anything though, yet left a bad aftertaste. Aside from it's mysterious properties of cooling your mouth down after biting into spicy peppers, I can't say I had much use for it.

They do give you gratis chips at this one, though both the salsas verde and rojo were rather weak and watery. Chips themselves were kinda bland and starting to go over to the stale side of things.
