Are You Making Money Online? Take Time to Give Back

I'm not a man of the cloth so it's rare when I get up to the pulpit to preach. But, today I learned one of the sites I've come to rely on for $15-20 a month is unable to pay its members this month and may or may not survive through the year. And, because of that, I'm angry enough to raise my voice.

Because I know the owner and respect him, I won't tell you the name of the site. But, it is very disappointing to me when that happens. It doesn't pay my mortgage but making money online has become a big part of my life and has saved me from having to get a second job. So, it's not easy when I can no longer rely on a site that has never let me down in the past.

The sad part of it is, it's not the owner's fault. I know him and he's done everything he can to keep the site profitable. I place the blame solely on the members; the ones who are quick to request their money but do nothing to help make sure the site itself is making money too.

If you're like me and receive money from various online sources, then it's time to step up and give back to those sites that have supplemented your income. It takes very little time and even less effort and I'm sure the site owners will be thankful for it.

First, and I list this first because it is the most important thing; take the time to click on the advertisements. I know they are sometimes hard to notice but they are there for a reason. Sites make their money because other sites want to advertise with them. But, if nobody visits them, then the advertisers have no reason to stay.

Each day, I make sure to visit at least one advertiser on every site I've visited. And, I'm not talking about clicking on the ad and then closing the browser. Take a few minutes to actually check them out. Who knows, you might find something you're interested in. In fact, I discovered a couple of the paying Web sites I visit by clicking an ad on another paying Web site.
