Capcom Can Possibly Dominate Next-Gen Consoles 2007-2008

With the new slew of games that should be headed to the next-generation gaming consoles this fall and winter, it would be a possibility that Capcom may be able to dominate as they will release of both "Devil May Cry 4" and "Resident Evil 5" for the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 respectively later this year.

Anybody that's familiar with the Devil May Cry series should know that the first game was intended to be a Resident Evil game. Instead, it was completely redesigned and made into the popular franchise known as the Devil May Cry series that stars Dante the half-human and half-demon that goes around slaying evil demons left and right.

"Devil May Cry 2" wasn't as popular as the first game. "Devil May Cry 3" which was the prequel to Devil May Cry was released around 2005. It was a very popular title which strong sales. "Devil May Cry 4" is supposed to be released for the Playstation 3 sometime around this year hopefully for Christmas time.

In seven years, the Devil May Cry franchise has become very strong and popular. It's one of the few strongest franchises of Capcom asides from Resident Evil and the Street Fighter series.

One notable difference is that the protagonist is a person named Nero. Dante does make an appearance but seems to be an antagonist/hero in the story. The graphics look very sharp and clean. Hopefully it will take full advantage of the technology that is stored within the Playstation 3.

While Playstation 3 owners, X-Box 360 owners have something else just as big to look forward to: "Resident Evil 5".

X-Box 360 owners can rejoice that they get to play the first Resident Evil title to ever come out onto a Microsoft console. There have been plenty of Capcom games exclusive to the Microsoft consoles but those franchises and series weren't as strong. X-Box 360 owners are able at the moment to enjoy "Lost World" which is a sci-fi action game released last year.
