Celebrating a birthday can be a lot of fun. But if you are on a tight budget you may have to be creative on how you celebrate. Birthdays are very special to everyone. And we try to make them memorable. We plan ahead for them if we need to save up for a birthday celebration. This helps make it easier on our budget when the time comes. We want a birthday celebration to be special and a birthday that will hold a lot of special memories for everyone.

There are several things you can do to help make some ones birthday more special and save money while your at it. Most people go out to eat on their birthday. This can be very expensive sometimes. Try something new like inviting them over and making them their favorite meal. Or pack up a picnic basket and go to the park or lake for a picnic with them. Invite the people they love to meet you at these places to make the occasion even more special for them. Preparing a meal at your home for a birthday gift is a wonderful surprise. It is personal and very thoughtful and they will love it.

Gift certificates are another good way to save money on a birthday. They are thoughtful and people love getting them. You can purchase them for movies, food, stores of all kinds or just about anything they like. They can save you money because you can get them for any amount you can afford. From five dollars up to fifty. They are very popular gifts for all ages. Do something nice for someone on their birthday by fixing their car or something around their house. Anything to give them a hand and help them out is a very nice gift. Make them a cake yourself. It is very thoughtful and probably will taste better then if you had purchased one. Have a big celebration just for them and invite people they know.

My friends and I don't go out anymore for birthdays. Instead, we do BBQ's and potlucks- it saves a ton of money. Thanks for the great article!
