At a special event out in California on August 7, Apple announced a few big updates to their line of software and hardware. Included was a faster iMac, along with new versions of their office suite - iWork - and their iLife suite, which is designed to make it easy for anyone who wants to to become a multimedia master. The iLife suite is made up of five different programs, for collecting your digital photos, making home movies, creating beatiful DVDs, recording and mixing music, and creating amazing websites in a hurry.
In this overview I will take a look at the iLife application that I'm most familiar with (as I would venture is the case for most people):
iPhoto
To me, there is one really nice new feature in iPhoto, along with a bunch of other stuff that's nice, but may not be used all that often by a large percentage of iPhoto users. The feature that really made me sit up and go "wow" as I was watching the introductory video is what Apple is calling "Organize By Events." Organize by Events is simply a way to take those thousands of photos you have in your iPhoto library and condense them into albums, based on what's happening in the photos.
"Wait a minute!" you're saying. "I can already make albums in iPhoto."
