ZD Soft Screen Recorder is a simple and easy to use program for recording your desktop and things that happen on your computer screen. The program uses no hardware acceleration so it will not record videos and
games but does record regular activities such as programs and is great for creating tutorials and presentations.
With ZD Soft Screen Recorder you can create:
Screen demos
Training videos
Teaching videos
Animated tutorials
Animated presentations
Animated help files
It records with the simple click of a button and can be activated using a combination of buttons as well. The program has system requirements that you should pay attention to such as a minimum Pentium 3 or AMD equivalent 1 GHz processor and enough hard drive space for the program and whatever video you will be capturing.
System Requirements:
Intel Pentium III 1.0 GHz or faster compatible CPU
128 MB or more RAM
2.0 GB available hard disk space
Keyboard and mouse or compatible pointing device
Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista or later version
Windows Media Player 9 or compatible software (for AVI/WMV file playback)
Of course when dealing with video a better computer and especially better processor and memory will always make for better video.
ZD Soft screen recorder is an excellent tool for recording your desktop to show what exactly is happening when using a program. You can use the screen recorder for presentations and tutorials to show people in real time what you are doing in a program or on your desktop. I played around and recorded some of what I was doing to create a mini tutorial using a word document and showing how to save that document.
The program can be started in a few seconds and is very easy to understand with the simple pages of the program. There is a video page and an audio page where you set what encoder and format you will use for the video and what buttons you will use to start, stop and pause the program. You will also choose the audio quality and the audio source on the audio page.
