One term I've seen being used many times in conversations, online chats and TV programs, is about somebody being a pervert. What does being a 'pervert' really mean? If you look in the dictionary, the meaning of the term 'pervert' is "one that has been perverted; specifically: one given to some form of sexual perversion". So, does it mean that when a person is called as a pervert, he essentially has any of the sexual perversions such as sadism, masochism, paedophilia, necrophilia etc? Not really. These are big, serious perversions, found in very small number of people. But the expression of somebody being a pervert is quite commonly used. So, what really does it mean to be a pervert in day-to-day life?

Wondering on these lines, I tried to analyze human relationships. Especially, the relationships between a male and a female. There exist different relationships between a male and a female, each one having its own nature. Let's take a look at all of them:

Parent-child relationship: The relationship between father-daughter, mother-son, aunt-nephew, uncle-niece, grandma-grandson, grandpa-granddaughter etc.

Sibling relationship: The relationship between a brother and sister, or between cousins

Friend relationship: The relationship between a male and a female who are friends

Teacher-student relationship: The relationship between a male teacher and a female student, or a female teacher and a male student

Fellow human being relationship: You have a relationship with every other human being on this planet. That of a fellow human being. It is more or less the same for a male fellow being or a female fellow being.

Five different types of relationships are mentioned above. All of them are different in nature. However, one thing is common to all of them, and that is, they all are non-sexual.

Then, there is the girlfriend-boyfriend or the husband-wife relationship. This is the only type of relationship which is sexual.
