The yellow-stripe is a very easy fish to take care of. It's great for beginners or tanks which are not established. Tanks that are over one year old are established fish tanks. Fish strive in these types of tanks that have been running for a year. Once your tank is established you would be surprised the things that are moving around in your fish tank. Fish live well in aquariums that have live rock as well. This is because the rock is essentially alive and has living organisms inside of the rock. It's more natural and closer to the average ocean setup.
You will need to use a heater and keep your aquarium at a constant temperature. It's not good to fluctuate the temperature more than 2 degrees during water changes or on a daily basis. You need to keep the water at a constant level between 72-78 degrees in temperature. These fish are reef compatible which means you can keep this fish in an aquarium with live rock and coral. The fish will not harm the coral or invertebrates like some types of fish will do.
