You've Won the Grand Prize!

Over the years, I've won my fair share of prizes. None of them were huge, like a lottery or something, but I thought they were substantial at the time I won them.

Here are some of the things I've won, and the method I used to win. I didn't use any strategy, it was just dumb luck. But if I hadn't attempted to win, it wouldn't have happened.

$1000.00 cash and a key to try and open up a new car door. I was the 9^th caller to a local radio station. I had to go pick up the money and key in person and then about a week later, all the key winners gathered at a local mall to see if their key opened the new car. We all drew a number out of a bucket to see what order we would try to open the car. There were 392 people there - I drew number 392. I pretty much knew I wasn't going home with a new car that day, but I had fun spending the money I had won!

Limousine ride, dinner for 8 at a nice 5-star restaurant, and $500.00 spending cash. I was the correct caller at a local radio station. It was a Valentine's day gift pack. My husband and I were newlyweds and took some friends with us, and all had a wonderful time. It was our first time in a limo so we hammed it up a bit on the way to our destination. It was quite funny when we pulled up at the restaurant because my husband favors a famous football player and several people saw us getting out of limo and later came over to our table and asked for his autograph.

$750 jackpot at a slot machine in Vegas using a $1 token I found on the ground. This was so much fun! My oldest daughter was with me and we were walking through the casino saw the token laying on the ground. I wanted to keep it as a souvenir but she kept bugging me to play it in a slot machine. I eventually gave in and am glad I did now.
