Parenting Thought of the Day for August 9, 2007

Answer your child's questions.

When a child's questions get ignored or brushed aside, this leads to disinterest or not caring when it comes to learning new things.

Never let a question get unanswered.

If you don't know the answer, tell your child that he or she can learn more if it's looked up on the internet.

Then, look it up and discuss it with your child.

A child whose questions get unanswered often falsely believes that learning new things is unimportant.
This can lead to failure in school as well as other things.

No question is too big or too small.
They are all valid.

Asking questions is a sign of intelligence and curiosity.
Don't let it go to waste.

If you're overwhelmed with your child's questions,
Ask your child to write them down.
Then, go over them later.

Never let a child's questions go unanswered.

LOL, they are quite draining at times, but I never ignore a question, even if I'm tired. LOL

You ought to collect all of these and write a book. It would be so cool!
