50 Romantic Things to Do Throughout the Year

No matter how in love you are, everyone can use a little help in the romance department! Romance is something that no successful love relationship can do without. Unfortunately, too often, a lack of ideas and creativity destroy
a relationship or leave it stagnant, and couples lose the excitement and passion that once enveloped them.

There's nothing like finding that special someone and spending quality time building a romantic, meaningful and lasting relationship. Whether you are dating, engaged or married, any one of the following ideas is guaranteed to add a little spark to your relationship! Some of these suggestions may seem like the perfect thing a man might do for his lover, but ladies, if he isn't being romantic, take the initiative!

1) Midnight Picnic. Plan a midnight picnic under the stars. Get a picnic basket and fill it with goodies and aphrodisiacs. Bring a tape player and play romantic music while you eat, and save a song or two for dancing.

2) Serenade. Have your lover serenaded. If you can't sing, hire someone who can, and hire a couple of musicians, or better yet, survey your friends and find out who can sing and play the guitar or a violin. A serenade is especially sweet on an anniversary, a birthday or any special occasion. Capture it on video camera if you can so you two can relive the memory again and again.

3) Week of Poetry. For one week, write your lover special poems and have them delivered to his work, or leave them in strategic places in his home. Even if you think you can't write, try it. It will mean more to your lover if you write what you feel rather than using someone else's words.

4) Love Trail. Go out to the woods and leave love clues on a trail. Instead of an Easter Egg Hunt, plan a Romantic Love Hunt. Then, take your lover out and lead him to the first clue and make sure each surprise is better than the last!

5) Rosebud Trail. Sneak into your lover's house and leave a trail of rosebuds and let them lead to the bedroom. Leave a single red rose on the bed along with a greeting card and/or gift.

Do not write poems to your man. He will not find them nearly as meaningful as you will. If you read them, the dread will start as soon as you start. He will then live in fear that you will make a habit of this. It will be awkward and terrible as he tries to figure out a way to discourage you from doing this again, while trying not hurt your feelings. A truly painful experience awaits you and your man. This is terrible advice for at least 85% of men.

These are great. I did read some of the coments. I do belive that if a marriage fails it is 'normally' both parties fault to some extent. It takes two to work, when it doesn't work either both parties are not trying hard enough or ONE person tends to have not even tried. Oh and if you are looking up stuff like this site is, then it's good evidence that you ARE trying.

No one is to be blamed for any marriage seperations. If it was meant to be it would of worked out for the two of yous. Now if you have to blame someone else for your marriage seperation then donèt ask yourself where it went wrong... You and your lover are the only two to make things work, if you follow someone elses ideas itès at your own risk. oh and just by reading your comment to patricia williams it shows pretty clearly that maybe you are in the situation of seperation due to a late of maturity. good luck and learn from your mistakes, it will only make you stronger and smarter.
