I love the idea of the Leap Frog baby collection, but have always found them a little out of my price range. Being a thrifty mom means I only like to spend my money on things that I know my child will get a lot of use out of, and I wasn't sure this was the case with this toy.

I went ahead and did some research. The LeapStart Learning Table also sold under the name the Learn and Groove Musical Table is recommended for ages six through thirty-six months. Taking the price and the length of time my child would use it I decided it would be a wise investment.

PROS

There are 15 musical activities so your child will not get board with it easily. Children love the change in activities. My daughter who is nine months loves playing on one side of the toy and reaching over and playing on the other side of the musical playing table.

It is great for play-dates. I set this up using the legs, my daughter and her friend were able to stand across from each other and both play with the toy at the same time. It is great when you have a child who does not understand the concept of sharing yet.

It is adjustable. The first time my child played with the toy it was a t a friends house. She was just able to sit up by herself. I was impressed to find that the legs of the toy are detachable and the toy can easily be played with on the floor. Once your child starts to stand on her own or while holding onto something then you just pop on the legs and go.

You can change things up by flipping the center page. The center page will change each of the activities on the table top from music mode to learning mode. In the music mode there are over 40 songs and melodies, nursery rhymes, real instrument sounds and dance tunes. The learning mode will teach your child letters from A-Z, counting from 1-10, and first words.

It takes three AA batteries! I have found that so many toys nowadays take these weird battery sizes that I have to go out and bye, not this. I love the fact that we already had AA batteries on hand!

It seems like there are a lot more pros than cons to this toy! I think it sounds great for children :)
