Home schooling or formal schooling, which is better for our children? For some people home schooling is the best way to go. For others, the traditional way of a formal education is the right thing to do.

Home schooling definitely has its good points as well as its bad points. If you live in a rural area and you have absolutely no way of getting them to and from school then it's a good idea to home school. If you live your life over the road, if you feel that your child can learn more at home because they'll be getting more attention then they'd get in a regular classroom. It would also be good if you had a special needs child at home. It would be easier for you to tend to your child. All this is very convenient and for some it's a blessing. Home-schooling definitely has its perks. But is it good for the children?

For the reasons I gave above, are the only reasons that it is a good idea to home school. However, I don't like the idea of home schooling. If the children are home schooled, they'll never have the benefits of formal education, which I think every child needs to make it in the real world. A formal education not only gives children academic skills but the social skills that they need to learn now to interact with others. They need to make friends and learn how to deal with conflicts that may arise between them.

You think that if you home school your children that they'll be safe from harm right? Wrong. Your child is likely to be more at risk of being harmed by a predator in your own backyard then on school grounds. Sexual predators are not allowed to be within 500 yards from a school. You definitely don't have that kind of protection at home. Kids also don't health education as well as learning about the effects of drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol. They have to be taught about that, to just say no. That is a very important program in today's society. That and sex education.

Wow... you're an idiot. On the whole, as far as test scores are considered, home schooled children almost always score in the 80-90th percentile. Perhaps, if you were home schooled, you wouldn't have so many typo-os in your article.
