Ice Cream, Ice Cream... Get Your Ice Cream & Expensive Lakeland, FL Real Estate!

Phil, the guy that we were staying with in Lakeland, had to go to work a few days while we were there, so we got a chance to run some errands and check out the town of Lakeland. My wife promised her sister that she would mail her a postcard from each place that we were visiting on our

road trip. So we decided to hit the roads of Lakeland to find a post office so that we could get some stamps, and we also had to return our Audio book to Cracker Barrel, which is a life saver when driving through the Florida panhandle.

As we were making our way downtown to the post office, we passes an Educational Supply Store that my wife, being a teacher, had to go in. We decided to do all of our other errands first, then go back there on the way out. We found the post office, and mailed off our postcards, then we made our way through the downtown to Cracker Barrel. It was now time to make our way back.

While we were driving through the downtown area, my wife noticed a little ice cream shop called the Main Street Creamery. For some reason every day while we are on vacation my wife must have some ice cream. So we decide to make a stop. It was a very small little shop with many different flavors to choose from and a few booths lining the wall next to the windows. We ordered our kid's cup of ice cream, because we believe that the smalls now a day are getting way to big and that is just too much sugar for anyone to have, and we took a seat and enjoyed the soothing home-made cream on this hot July day in Florida.

As we were sitting down enjoying our Ice Cream, I happened to pick up some real estate books outside of the creamery. As I flipped through the book, I was surprised at how expensive the housing market is in Florida these days. I could not find a house that was less than 100,000 unless it was a small condo. I know that my friend just bought his condo, and with what I saw in the book he got it at a great price. I would be interested to see what his would be priced at today.
