One of every parent's worst nightmares is to take the children out to eat in a restaurant. The children wiggle and squirm, they giggle and laugh, they refuse to eat, they scream for food until it comes, they are bored . . . bored. . . and did they say bored? Parents of younger children, toddlers especially have a difficult time keeping their little ones entertained while waiting for the food. After the food arrives parents worry about the food that ends up on the table which their children still try to eat. Do you think the table is clean? If you are looking for something to keep your children occupied while dining out, or when you go anyplace else try these products from Dine and Doodles.

Dine and Doodles have two products available, in varying styles. These are the Dine and Doodles placemats and the Dine and Doodles Crayon Keepers. The placemats come in five different styles. These styles are: the ladylike pink and green polka dot placemat, the red and black gingham with sock monkey for the little monkey in your family, a black and pink polka dot design, red floral with absolutely brilliant colored flowers and my personal favorite the cowboy placemat design which exhibits colorful cowboys, bucking broncos and lassos. Each one of these placemats are made with a combination of Mexican oilcloth, laminated cotton and chalk cloth. On one side children may draw with chalk. They can play tic tac toe, hangman, connect the dots and draw as many pictures as their creative minds can imagine. When the food arrives you simply wash off the chalk cloth with a wet rag and flip the placemat over for an entertainingly designed placemat. When finished, wipe down the placemat side and roll it up. It is tied with a grosgrain ribbon keeping it rolled up to easily store in a bag or purse.

These sound really neat! Thanks a lot for the info. Our 1 year old still does okay eating out for now, but it won't be long before he starts freaking out and we'll need something to keep him busy!
