I have bought and received many different perfumes over the years. But, I remain a fan of Chanel No. 5.
So many other perfumes, are over powering and so flowery that they can make you gag. I have to be careful because my mother starts choking from the scent of flowery perfume. So I stick with my Chanel No. 5, that she has no problems with.
I love how I feel when I am wearing Chanel No. 5, as if it was that first Christmas with my husband, in love and happy.
As I have gotten older, I don't wear perfume except for special occasions. A romantic evening at home watching television, going out to eat, or going to a wedding or another special occasion.
I do not have to spray a lot of Chanel No. 5 on as a little goes along way. Just the wrist, and then rub the wrists together, a little behind each ear, and I do not have to add more. It lasts the whole day and evening.
I am able to purchase a refill bottle which I just have to take the empty bottle out by lifting up the gold band, and replacing it with the new refill. Occasionally I can get a refill for about $35.00, but most of the time the refill is between $42 and $44. I wait for Christmas or Mothers Day to get close, for that is the only time Chanel No. 5 is on sale. At this time they have the separate bottles, the refills(you can purchase them at 50% off), or you can get a gift package with 3~ Chanel items in it. Where I live the only place I can now purchase Chanel No. 5 is at Younkers. It is $50.00 for 5 1.7 oz. The original bottle it came with is black with a gold band right below the cap, on top of the cap in gold is the Chanel No. 5 Logo.
I had to look up the ingredients as there is nothing on the bottle that says what it is made of. No wonder I love it so much. It has some of my favorites, such as lily of the valley, rose, iris, vanilla and jasmine.
