Or, How to Make People Dislike You

I have learned many things in my years on this planet and I continue to learn all the time. Not only do I become aware of new things, but often re-learn something I'd forgotten. I develop a new awareness with regard to topics with which I was familiar but had not kept top of mind. And as often as I learn about others, I learn about myself. The most recent lesson I re-learned came about as I noticed how the last four articles I've written have not been too well received. I noticed they were all rated well below the starting point of 3 stars. And what's worse, there were almost no comments on many of my writings. My conclusion is that not only do the readers not like my opinions, style, presentation, etc., but they do not even consider me worthy of their comments.
Now I'm a lot of things, but I'm not self-deluded. I am aware that perhaps the poor ratings on my recent articles are because some readers are familiar with me and don't like my opinions, or do not like me personally because of my opinions. Some dislike my writing style; some dislike my conclusions; some dislike my platform. And because I'm not overly PC, or more accurately not at all PC, and since I'll call 'em like I see 'em, I am aware of the criticisms leveled at me. I have been told I'm "mean spirited, name calling, angry (I love that one). . . ." so the dissent to my writings is not at all surprising and in fact to be expected.
Where I was confused was the part about almost no commentary on my writings. I would expect that those who disagree with me would pipe up with their issues, and some do. But as I recently observed with my last four previous posts, I have been deemed worthy of down-grading but not worthy of comment. That got me to thinking - remember my original thesis - I re-learn as "old" knowledge as often as I acquire new enlightenment?
