Avery Write-On Plastic Dividers for Binders comes are a new office supply from Avery. The five pastel colored binders are made of a thick and smooth plastic. These dividers are made for three-ring binders.Office Supply Product Claims
The reason I purchased the Avery Write-On Plastic Dividers for Binders is because the packaging claims that these "write-on" binders are re-usable because any marks make on them in pencil or pen can be erased.
Because I find those little white tabs for regular binder dividers to be troublesome, I thought these Avery Write-On Plastic Dividers for Binders would offer a good solution.
No longer would I have to try to write really, really tiny words to label binder dividers. The days of trying to slide that little piece of paper into the plastic tab are over. The little labels wouldn't get lost because there are no little labels.
In addition to writing on the tabs, the entire divider has a writing surface. I also like that they are translucent, allowing for the first page in each section to be visible.
Office Supply Product Effectiveness
I started with the pencil. I labeled my binder, and had plenty of room on each long tab for the words I needed to include. The pencil erased effortlessly.
When I first tried to write on the binder tab with a pen, no mark was left. The pen worked fine on paper, so I tried again. The pen worked when I pressed harder, and I was able to write on the tab.
Erasing the pen mark from the tab took more effort than erasing the pen. Also, there were still some footprints left behind by the pen mark, even though it had beenerased.
Office Supply Price
The Avery Write-On Plastic Dividers for Binders were slightly more expensive than the "regular" reinforced binder dividers at the local Staples store.
Reason to Buy this Office Supply
I like the convenience of using colored binder dividers in a binder that do not need those silly little pieces of paper. I also like that I can erase the words on the tabs. This means that I can re-use the tabs over and over.
