Cafe Cordiale: a Popular Restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California

Cafe Cordiale, located in Sherman Oaks, California is one of my favorite restaurants. Sherman Oaks is an area near Los Angeles. This cafe is one of my first choices when asked where do you want to meet for lunch or dinner. I love meeting my friends here for lunch or spend an evening with my husband because it is such a cozy friendly place. The food is good, and important to me when choosing a place to dine, is the atmosphere. This place is charming with a lot of interesting pictures along the walls. There is ample parking space, and you don't have to rely on anyone else parking your car if that is one of your pet peeves. You can park it yourself, and if you scratch your car in doing so, you have no one else to blame but yourself.

Every time I go to Cafe Cordiale, we meet friendly people who are sitting next to us. It's not difficult to strike a conversation with someone at this cozy little place. Of course, if you just want a nice evening with just your companion, without any outside intrusion, that's your choice.

Best of all, Cafe Cordiale has entertainment in the evening. This is something you do not see in a cafe. They have live music here----a very classy variety of live jazz and R & B. The musicians that come here are top notch. They "hang out" on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On these evenings, the show starts at 9:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday evenings, the show begins at 10:00.

Cafe Cordiale is a great place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers or rehearsal dinners. My husband and I plan to celebrate our 40th anniversary here next year. It will be fun to have a group of people sing, dance, or whatever. The basic menu is as follows: Ravioli Pasta, Pasta Primavera, Linguini Cordiale Pasta, Cashew Chicken with rice, Shrimp, Chicken Marsala, and Grilled Salmon. There is much more but this is just the basics.

There is an interesting history in regards to this café. It opened in 1985 and became popular by word of mouth. Many customers came here as I do, because besides being a cozy, friendly place, the food is good and not too expensive.
