Women Business Owners Get a Boost
Embed:
Many women love being a part of the workforce. Other women would prefer to spend time with their growing families. And, still other women are a hybrid of both. Whatever category a woman finds herself in, you can be certain that deep down she carries an entrepreneurial spirit. Fortunately, women business owners have received a lot of shine lately. Society is beginning to embrace and support the idea of the willing woman worker. Non-profit groups have been created to assist the woman entrepreneurial in her quest to become a leader in the business world.
One such group that is working to support the women business owner is the Empowerment Group. According to the Empowerment Group Website, "The Empowerment Group is a non-profit organization located in Kensington, North Philadelphia. Their mission is to accelerate economic growth in distressed urban communities by cultivating local entrepreneurship. Their bottom line is to create positive, lasting change for their clients, their families and their communities." The Empowerment Group has developed a program called the Women Entrepreneurs' Circle.
This is a place for women to join together as a support and resource network as they progress into the world of entrepreneurship. If you are a women business owner, come to the Women Entrepreneurs' Circle and meet other women just like you - ambitious and determined to succeed as empowered business owners! Each month women will network, share new resources, and introduce you to female leaders in the city's entrepreneurial community. All meetings are free, open to all women, and include refreshments. The circle now meets the last Saturday of every month! Topic and more details to follow.
