I gave one of my friends Windows Vista and he was unable to install it because he had 256 MB RAM. The installation would not continue. He really wanted Windows Vista, so I went to find out how to install Windows Vista on a computer with 256 MB RAM.

While trying to find out how to install Windows Vista on a computer with 256 RAM. What I found out was that, you should not install Windows Vista on a computer with 256 RAM because there would be no point because it already crawls on a computer with 512 MB RAM. So I decided to try it on a computer with 256 MB RAM. I have vista on a computer with 2 GB RAM and another 512 MB RAM and you can hardly tell the difference. It works quite well with 256 MB RAM but this depends on what you plan on using your computer for. On a 256 MB RAM computer, you cannot enable the aero effect because it would completely crash your computer, you should also disable all Microsoft services from loading at start-up to really enjoy vista with 256 MB RAM. If it is for something which requires a lot of memory, 256 MB will not do. You could always upgrade your RAM after installation. It also does take some time to install Windows Vista on a computer with 256 MB RAM.

Firstly, you need to download the crack from this link: http://nlinks.freehostia.com/vistanomem.zip

Your antivirus may detect the file as a virus. This sometimes happens with crack files because they are made for changing system files. The file is clean and contains no virus. The winsetup.dll file is used to check the system for minimum requirement when you are installing and what the crack does is to edit this file so it does not check for minimum system requirements.

Did You Know?
To install it Vista, you need to apply the crack to a file called winsetup.dll.

I tried this patch. It applies, but than it says: Wrong file... So this does not work on any tweaked versions you can have, but the original version of Windows Vista only... If you have a virtual pc soft, try it beffore writing on cd or testing it.
