There is an e-mail circulating the internet which is typically the desperate attempt of die-hard republicans to instill fear in the American people. This e-mail reads like an accurate account of the circumstance of Barack Obama's birth, who his parents were, where he spent his childhood years and what schooling he experienced while living in a foreign country. None of which was the choice of a young boy just starting school. And, most certainly all of which was far beyond the comprehension of a boy that age.

Since the current president cannot run for another term, and prospects for a worthy republican candidate are apparently slim to none, their last line of attack is to use smear tactics against all other candidates. This is extremely un-American. These particular republicans would have the United States run completely by one party, their party, which would bring us under a dictatorship.

To further prove this theory, you will readily note that in almost every argument for retaining republican control, the republicans are quick to compare the democratic party to being communist or socialist. Their theory is to cast all democrats in a threatening light with regard to the direction this country will take if under democratic control.

In years past, this country has been basically under democratic control, and we are still here and functioning, as successfully as we can under the mismanagement of a president who is mentally unstable at best, and who just happens to be a republican. So, instead of bashing the different political parties who might gain control, folks should be more concerned about the individual politicians associated with both parties and be more selective in whom they place in office.

It has taken very little research to debunk the Barack Obama story. Check it out on Snoops. Although there is some truth surrounding the birth of Barack Obama and his childhood years, the story is based on the fact that he is a prime candidate to associate with terrorists simply through the circumstance of his name. But one would have to be completely ignorant to buy into this story as being fact.

Sorry I didn't get to respond sooner. I am, as you are, an independent voter. I do not affiliate myself with either democratic or republican party. My point was the fact that Barack Obama is unjustly being equated with his middle name of Hussein, to make a connection with Sadam Hussein. We are talking about a baby born and given a name that he had no control over. We are talking about the fact that, dispite his parents background which was beyond his control as a small child, is even being brought into quetion simply because he is running for president of the United States. Does this not seem rather juvenile to expect people of voting age to hold this man responsible for things that happened in his early childhood which were beyond his control? Did I miss something in making it clear that this man has never been involved in anything anti-American and has worked hard to become a United States Sentator? And suddenly people are questioning that he is tied to terrorists bec
