First this is my opinion. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, USA Today and all the other Media folks listen up. Why can't you report the News without enhancing it to make more money. Why can't you report the News without the hype just as PBS does day after day.

Today's Media coverage stinks. I must speak up about the news coverage that seeps into every part of my life. It Stinks worse than a hog farm on a muggy August day. I like most folks watch the News programs to stay informed but to say the least this is reaching the ridiculous.

I'm sure Paris Hilton got drunk and high, drove with a suspended license just to provide the Media something to write and talk about. Jay Leno, David Letterman, Craig Ferguson, and others most likely funded the event just so they would have more fodder for their monologue. Personally I believe anyone that drinks and drives should be arrested and sent to jail for an extended period of time. I'm sure that Sheriff in Arizona will make room in his tent jail.

I suppose next we will see reports of President Bush's bowel habits. I can hear the White House Press Room now alive with the rumors. George W Bush took Ex Lax last night and had Raisin Bran for breakfast. It's gonna be a big News day. Perhaps the big story will be on Election Day. "Rudy doesn't need Ex Lax Hilary has scared the crap out of him." or "Hilary Clinton has daily evacuation plan." better yet "Donald Trump buys Rosie's outhouse and turns it into a rental unit"

Sportscasters are just as bad. I don't care if Tiger Woods stop to water the daisies on the fourteenth fairway yesterday. It doesn't matter that Al Unser has to change his jump suit before an interview with the press and we all know why. I honestly do not care that several of the tennis pros don't wear undergarment when they play in a tournament. Does it really matter if Barry Bonds still needs a cup after steroids?

I agree with you. News used to be worth something, now it's all a big song and dance to get corporate advertisers. When entertainment companies own the media, it's to be expected. I read Reuters.

Actually I heard a news story the other day about how George Bush got a colonoscopy, so you were right on the money with this one.

I agree completely that's why I've stopped watching the news and get my news fix online.

You said it all! Great stuff!

Right on! I stopped watching the news for this purpose... I actually read international newspapers instead- American news is so biased.

Say it loud, say it clear. I'm with you.

That is one of the reasons I simply stopped watching televsion. The Internet is almost as bad with front page headlines, but one can search for news one wants to read and read it online. "The People's Media" can be just as bad, at times, with that Tabloid mentality.

yup, I agree with you. I have to go to forums to find out what of importance is going on, because the "news" is clogged up with so much unnecessary junk!! :)
