How to Stop Window Programs from Auto Loading

Do you have a system that just seems so slow? And you want to get it to run like new?

Here is the deal many programs will start when windows does and most of them do not need to load at start up. You have tried deleting the files from the Start Up folder and they keep loading.

Will here is the trick it's called Msconfig, ' System Configuration Utility ' It is a hidden tool developed by Microsoft, You can disable or enable start up items with just a click of the mouse.

Warning: Please do not disable any system files, Doing this can have system failure or loss of sound or other functions! Only disable what you know you need not to load.

Steps:

1. Click Start, Then Click Run,

2. Type Msconfig, Hit Enter
" Image 2 "
3. System Configuration Utility will open, Click Tab Startup
" IMage 2 "
4. Unchecked the items you do not want to load at startup

5. Click Restart Computer
" Image 4 "
6. Computer will restart then a pop up will come up check mark it so it will never show again.

Congrats the items you check marked will no longer load at startup!

The above steps will Work on Microsoft Windows 95,98,Me,Xp!

Other ways to stop programs from loading?

Try clicking Start Menu, All Programs, Start Up, Right Click Delete on the program loading.

Another way you can right click Start Menu, Explore, Click Programs, Start Up, Delete program short cuts you don't want to load at startup.

Also you can go to My Computer C: drive which should be your main drive, click Documents and Settings, Click All Users, Click Start Menu, Click Programs, Click Startup and delete program short cuts you don't want to load at system startup.

The only other ways is to buy a program that will do it for you just search the internet you can probably even find a freeware program out there for download.

Or you can do it the manual way, Open the program that keeps loading at startup locate the Settings, or properties and search thru the settings and find where it says LOAD AT STARTUP and unchecked it.
