You've got your tickets for the latest music festival and your ready to go, but not so fast. Aren't you forgetting a few things? Wouldn't it be better if you took a minute to grab a blanket, some water, snacks, toilet paper and the most essential thing of all - travel sized anti-bacterial soap? If you show up prepared with these small, but necessary items, the outdoor music festival you attend will be a blast.

Bringing a blanket is essential. Have you ever been to an outdoor festival and had to sit on the dirt or wet grass? I have, and I can say that this isn't the most pleasant experience. Ideally, you'll want to bring a thick blanket to provide a barrier between yourself and the ground. You should also bring a blanket that you wouldn't mind getting dirty as it most certainly will, and also one that is big enough for you and your friends.

Do you often end up dying of thirst because you forgot your two factory sealed bottles of water and you don't want to pay an absorbent amount of money for the water they sell at the festival? Well, this year don't let this happen to you. Simply stop by the nearest convenience store and pick up a few liters to take with you. Once in the festival, look for a water fountain and keep refilling throughout the day to keep your body hydrated. Nothing messes up a good time like dehydration.

So you're in the festival, hanging out on your blanket, watching a fantastic band and your stomach begins to growl. You don't want to get up because you'll miss the show, but the longer you wait, the hungrier you become. One way to avoid this situation is to pack a few snacks. Many outdoor music festivals refuse to let attendees in with any kind of food. This is why you have to be creative. Hide your snacks at the bottom of your backpack or tape them to your legs underneath your pants. Bring something small. Remember, this is just to tide you over until you can grab some real sustenance.
