Ratings: Ease of Use, Performance: 24/25, Look & Feel: 23/25, Features & Software 24/25, How much I enjoy 23/25
Total: 94/100
Macecraft started as one person with a really great program that cleaned out your registry of unwanted entries and bad registration files. The company has grown from that little free program to a very good suite of powerful registry cleaners and
computer maintenance programs all bundled into the jv16 PowerTools 2007.
The jv16 PowerTools 2007 program is not only a registry cleaner but a file organizer, Windows uninstall utility and handy system optimization program. The interface is very easy to use and comes complete with its own backups so whatever you do you can undo in seconds.
The program asks whenever you perform a delete or other potentially permanent cleaning to create a backup so that if you find out later that you actually did need that registry entry you can always restore it. Of course it is up to you how long to keep such backups but for a few days at least you can be sure to have that potentially important file or entry at hand to restore.
Jv16 PowerTools 2007 comes complete with the following program features:
Registry Cleaner: clean out unneeded and bad entries
Registry Monitor: compare snapshots of your registry
Registry Manager: uninstall programs
Registry Compacter: decrease size of registry
Software Manager: quickly see what is on your computer
File and Directory Finder: find a file or directory you are unsure where you put
File Cleaner: erase temp and unused files
File Organizer: keep programs and files neat and orderly
Disk Wiper: erase whole drives
One Click Cleaner: easy one step cleaning set with the files and areas you want cleaned out regularly
History Cleaner: clean out traces of your computer activity
Automation Tool: set any of the jv16 PowerTools to run at regular times or days
