Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Heel of Approval

Product Review

I have been a fan of Bath and Body Works products for many years. I was very excited, therefore, when I found a product designed specifically for the dry, cracked skin on my heels and elbows.

Even the strongest lotions in the past haven't seemed to penetrate the roughness on my heels. Having been pleased with Bath and Body Works products in the past, I decided to give Heel of Approval Cracked Heel Treatment a try.

Heel of Approval Cracked Heel Treatment is one in a line of Bath and Body Works products called True Blue Spa. These products are mainly centered around intensive hand and foot care. Heel of Approval contains shea butter, for ultimate softening of the skin, and glycolic acid, to help slough away areas of dry skin.

It comes in a small 4 oz. plastic tub, regularly priced at fifteen dollars. Watchful shoppers, however, can often find the product on sale or obtain one of the many coupons that Bath and Body Works issues regularly. Bath and Body Works almost always has some type of sale going on in the store.

The first time I used the Heel of Approval lotion, I immediately noticed that it does not absorb into my skin very well. Rather than sinking in to the dry skin on my heels, it stayed on the surface for a long time no matter how much I rubbed. I had to be careful not to let it rub off my feet.

It did feel nice though and did make my heels feel somewhat softer to the touch, so I wanted to keep using it. From then on, I made sure to pull on cotton socks after treating my feet with the product to keep it from soaking into my bed sheets.

The more often and more liberally you use Heel of Approval Cracked Heel Treatment, the better it works. I recommend using it right before going to bed, and wearing socks to keep it from rubbing off on your carpet and bedding. Using the product right after bathing when your skin is softer also helps to make it more effective.
