Name Nicole Richie's Baby

The rumor that has been circulating through the entertainment industry and speculated on by many has been confirmed. Nicole Richie, with boyfriend Joel Madden by her side, finally admitted that she is pregnant, almost four months to be exact.

When pressed for details concerning her past, as well as a few more recent exploits, Nicole states "Being pregnant has made me realize that I need to grow up and take care of my life". She claims that her epiphany occurred while watching television and seeing pictures of little children that had been killed by people driving under the influence. Boyfriend Joel Madden stated that watching it together was "our first real parent moment." While Richie went on to state that it made her "feel like the worst person in the world....honestly, have you ever heard or seen some of the names of these kids?" She continued by saying that she and Joel have decided they want more for their child's name, "not any Tom, Dick or Harry for us."

Nicole claims that it is her... "duty as a superstar, as well as a trend setter extraordinaire, to set an example for all future parents by not giving her child a boring name". When the couple was asked what their parents had to say about all of this Joel told the interviewer he really didn't care what they thought, "after all they are the ones that named by brother Benji, what kind of people name their child after a dog?" When asked, Nicole stated "hey, don't look at me, my dad is named after a train."

So, how does the couple plan to choose their baby's name? "Why, with a contest of course, duh" said Nicole. She and Madden are setting up a web site specifically for this contest. They are inviting anybody and everybody to visit the site and leave their suggestions and comments. When asked what the winner would receive they looked at the interviewer with complete disbelief and said, "The winner will have the honor of naming our baby, what on earth else would they want?" However, it should be noted that the couple has decided that anyone leaving a "stupid, meaningless or boring" name will be hunted down and made to endure Lamaze class with them.
