After finally giving up on our ancient Kenmore dishwasher we started researching our options for a new one. We finally settled on the 24 inch Frigidaire Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher in stainless steel. We didn't want the cheapest model available, but we weren't willing to spend a fortune either. We ended up with this middle of the road Frigidaire which cost $449. We purchased our dishwasher at Best Buy who offered free installation for any dishwasher over $399.

Some of the cosmetic features of the Frigidaire Tall Tub Dishwasher that we liked included semi-integrated controls and an attractive exterior. The integrated digital controls make cleaning the control panel much easier than if the dishwasher had traditional raised buttons. The digital buttons also make it a little more difficult for our 1 year old to change the settings on the dishwasher. The exterior of the dishwasher is very attractive with a large stainless steel handle and only a small strip of black containing the controls.

The features of the Frigidaire Tall Tub Dishwasher were what caused us to make our ultimate decision to purchase this appliance. First of all, the Frigidaire is Energy Star approved for efficiency which was very important to us. This dishwasher has a sanitize option which is nice if you have babies or toddlers, or if you do any canning, which we do. The Frigidaire Tall Tub Dishwasher also promised a hard food disposer which would get rid of food particles such as rice and coffee grounds which find their way stuck to your glasses after many dishwasher cycles. The interior of the dishwasher also features several moveable baskets, and some flip down cages which prevent small, light items such as plastic storage containers from flying around the dishwasher during a cleaning.

Sounds a lot better than my old clunker that came with my house, that's for sure!
