One of the things I love about my life is that fact that I often make soy candles. Whether for myself or for sale, I indulge in this hobby almost daily. The stores around me sometimes carry one or two unique candle scents, but mostly the shelves are taken over by the usual vanilla, fruity or floral scents. Being a person who easily becomes bored, I did not want to make the same candles everyone else makes. So, I went on a fragrance mixing mission. I took the multiple bottles of candle fragrance oils I had and removed all the caps. I started picking up 2, 3 or 4 bottles at a time and performing a bulk sniff test. I not only found delicious mixes that I was looking for, but even found some of the most unusual blends can create a scent that's perfect for a candle but has never been spotted on the store shelves. So, for any and all avid candle makers out there, here is the list of blends I came up with. Happy candle making and I hope you love these scents as much as I do!** 'cap' refers to one capful from a 2oz. fragrance oil bottle. The amounts in each recipe below will make enough scent oil for 1 lb of wax. If you have larger fragrance bottles you may need to adjust amounts.
