Like so many other women, I hate my hair. I have dry hair that has a tendency to get frizzy and snarled. I've found that using the right shampoo and conditioner is key to keeping my hair in good shape. As a consequence, I've become quite a hair care product junkie. The most important thing about shampoo and conditioner (to me) is how well it beats the frizzies. Of course, I could never know how well it works until after I've tried it; so when I'm in the store the most important considerations are price and scent.

Price

At $1.29 for a 15 oz. bottle, the price is right. I know that there are a lot of people who would never consider buying inexpensive ("cheap") shampoo. Trust me, I've tried them all, and price has nothing to do with effectiveness. As a matter of fact, I've found that some of the priciest shampoos and conditioners leave my hair the frizziest. And since I always like to feel like I'm getting a good deal for my money, $1.29 suits me well.

Scent

The name "Refreshing Waterfall Mist" is alluring to me. The picture on the label is of a tropical lagoon, and the products are lovely shades of blue. I was sucked in- I had to smell it! It smelled wonderful! The scent certainly lives up to the hype.

The best way to describe the scent is "clean". It smells what clean hair should smell like (to me, at least). It doesn't smell fruity, it doesn't have floral undertones. So what it that smell? It's vaguely familiar, so I looked at the bottle again. "infused with watermint extract and vitamin e," it said (all lower-case, for effect). Watermint? I had to look at it a few times. Not watermist. Not wintermint. Watermint. I don't know what that is, but it doesn't smell like water or mint. And yet, it smells familiar. It must be that it smells like clean hair.

I've tried it and been pleased with it too. The closest description I can think of for the scent is summer vacation. I hadn't read the ingredients. That's pretty funny!

Spearmint + Water mint = Peppermint. Who knew? I Googled it. Had to - you piqued my interest. Great review. I love to hear what real folks think of products. This one sounds like a keeper!

Boy, even the name of the product sounds wonderful - and you can't beat it at that price, either, Kay.
